Ellis Bird Farm is located 8 km east (on Highway 12) and 8 km south (Prentiss Road/RR 26-0) of Lacombe.

There are two ways to access Ellis Bird Farm from Red Deer:
1. Go north on Highway 2 or 2a to the Blackfalds turn-off. Go east on Highway #597, then north on Prentiss Road (RR 26-0).
2. Go east of Red Deer on Highway 11. Turn north on Freedom Road, then west on Highway #597 and north on Prentiss Road (RR 26-0).
